A gamer believes Sony is discriminating as they have banned words such as gay, lesbian, and bisexual from names of clubs or in postings in club forums as part of PlayStation Home.
To quote: Michael Marsh, an 18-year-old gamer from Norwalk, Conn., wanted to set up a gay/straight alliance club in PlayStation Home, Sony's new free 3-D virtual world component for the PlayStation 3.
The problem was that the words he was using - "gay," "lesbian" and "bisexual" - were being filtered from text chats and were not being allowed in the naming of clubs or in postings in club forums.
Marsh, who is straight but supports gay rights, said he raised the issue with Home community managers during the private beta test, but the problems persisted after the public beta introduction of Home on Dec. 11.
"I can understand if they're filtering out profanity, but if feel like it's discrimination," Marsh said. "By blocking a word like 'gay,' which is a... More »
Recently 1UP shared their in-depth impressions of the offline portion of Level-5 and Sony's giant robot/fantasy RPG dubbed White Knight Chronicles as follows:
I don't get the feeling the game is a vibrant masterpiece -not yet, anyway- but it is certainly superior to Infinite Undiscovery, and corrects most of the problems with the deeply flawed Rogue Galaxy. Although WKC will turn out to be enjoyable comfort food for JRPG fans in whatever state it arrives on Western shores, a few simple tweaks here and there could improve it dramatically.

Despite how Sony has promoted WKC since its announcement at Tokyo Game Show 2006, it is an MMORPG at heart. Indeed, onlin... More »
System 3 and Eutechnyx have announced that they are developing SuperCar Challenge exclusively for the PlayStation 3, and that it will hit in spring 2009.
The game is a successor to this year's Ferrari Challenge and will feature 40 vehicles (including Ferrari FXX & 430, McLaren F1, Aston Martin DB9, Lamborghini Murcielago) and will also feature a more involved career mode.
To quote: System 3 and Eutechnyx are at work on SuperCar Challenge, a successor to this year's Ferrari Challenge that's to come exclusively to the PlayStation 3 next spring.
Key features are the inclusion of a wide breadth of supercars, in a response to criticisms of Ferrari Challenge's single minded focus on the Scuderia, and the introduction of a more involved career mode.
Ferrari Challenge received a favorable 8.3 upon review earlier this year – for more information on the follow-up, check out our ex... More »

You should notice a great increase of speed while using linux.
The free version can be downloaded in four weeks. For now only owners of YDL.net Enhanced Accounts can access YDL 6.1.
