The folks over at Sony Computer Entertainment America have launched an all-new Patapon sweepstakes promotion.

Prizes up for grabs include a collectible Be@rbrick figure, Patapon t-shirt and Patapon magnets. Twenty randomly selected individuals will take home all three items.

To enter, simply visit the official PlayStation Web site and sign-in to your PS Underground account, then click the start button at the bottom and answer eight Patapon-related trivia questions.

Note that the sweepstakes is open to U.S. residents only.

GameStop has kicked the Grand Theft Auto IV marketing machine into high gear with a promotion sweepstakes offering a chance to win up to $10,000 and a paid-for trip to New York City at the GTA IV launch event on April 28.

To enter, all you have to do is text a number to GSGTA4 that corresponds to where the game’s lead character Niko Bellic hid his lock box. The choices can be viewed below.

Alternatively, if you do not have a text-capable phone, you can simply fill out the online entry form on GameStop’s Web site.

Fans of Stargate will get a good taste of the Stargate Worlds MMO today. The first ever trailer for the game will be shown tonight as Stargate Atlantis has its mid-season premiere tonight at 10/9 p.m. EST/CST.

Rod Nakamoto, senior vice president of product development, Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment: “The trailer will give gamers and fans a glimpse at what they can expect to find in Stargate Worlds. It’s a mix of old and new elements that hint at the direction we are taking the franchise.”

Blizzard is spear-heading its approach to Community Fansites and fans in 2008. It's going full-throttle with a internal Developer video podcast which will bring you interviews with Starcraft 2 and Wrath of the Lich King developers, fansite community interaction with developers, as well as fansite Q&A on video.

The first BlizzCast episode will air online through Blizzard's Web site the first week of January. Fans will be able to submit questions to the developers through the fansites, who will forward the feedback to community managers: Karune and Nethaera. Fans may win some juicy Swag at the end of each BlizzCast episode. Again, this ongoing video podcast series is produced by Blizzard.

This is an amazing effort that will bring the developers and the community closer. The best of it all is that each BlizzCast (video podcast) transcript will be fully localized to many supported languages reaching hundreds of thousands of Blizzard fans across the globe. This is ... More »
